Description: St Pancras and King’s Cross are two of London’s great railway landmarks, standing side by side and creating an extraordinary concentration of railway history, architecture and urban activity. In drawing them together, I wanted to explore the contrast between the historic buildings, the great train sheds and the constantly changing streets around them. Trains, buses, pedestrians and traffic all become part of the composition. From above, the relationship between the two stations becomes especially clear, revealing how these remarkable buildings have evolved into a much larger urban place rather than remaining simply as railway terminals.
